There, he served as a gunner’s strike seaman, responsible for operating the ship’s formidable 50-caliber machine gun, a role that introduced him to the critical importance of precision under pressure. His honorable discharge in October 1970 as a Beachmaster Unit One Seaman marked the beginning of a new chapter, one that would see him pursuing higher education and laying the groundwork for a distinguished career in law enforcement and national security.

Rennie Rodriguez, a lifelong New Yorker shaped by his parents’ unwavering support, dedicated his life to public service. Inspired by his father, a Merchant Marine Captain, he enlisted in the Navy after high school, where he developed the discipline and precision necessary for success. His distinguished career included roles in the U.S. Secret Service, protecting presidents and dignitaries, and in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, where he excelled as a Firearms Training Instructor. Drawing upon his extensive experience as a Vietnam Veteran, Secret Service Agent, and ATF instructor, Rennie now shares his expertise with others, emphasizing the importance of marksmanship as a reflection of discipline, dedication, and unwavering precision.
